A. Explanation by way of instruction. vv. 1-2
1. Blessed comes from the forgiveness of transgressions.
a. Transgression-doing what is forbidden.

b. Forgiven-lifting the burden.

2. Blessedness comes from the covering of sins.
a. Sins-failing to do what is required. Judges 20:16

b. Covering-out of sight. Isaiah 38:17; 43:25; 44:22

3. Blessedness comes from the canceling of indebtedness.
a. Iniquity-distortion, absence of respect.

b. Not counted-accountability cancelled.
