REST ON THE INSIDE

Rest On The Inside
Lenny Ports
For the past 3 weeks I have speaking that Jesus wants to give us rest from the enemies all around us. We got into the 4 main enemies of the Christian being:
1. Fear
2. Discouragement
3. Pride
4. Unbelief
We learned that the battle is not ours - that the battle is the Lord's. Then last week, we talked about what we can do while the Lord is fighting on our behalf, and that is to:
1. Rejoice Always
2. Pray unceasingly
3. Give thanks in all things
These are the keys to victory - what I called the Trio of Triumph.
• Because the devil cannot stand it when you make a choice to rejoice. When you say I am gonna praise my God anyhow even though my circumstances are not looking that good right now. When you decide that you are going to praise the Lord for His goodness, mercy, kindness, grace, and love in your life. That even if all is taken away, you are still saved and for this you are choosing to be glad!
• In the midst of the battle, can you make it a choice to pray unceasingly, without stopping, without an Amen? When you decide throughout your day that you will maintain communication with your God who promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us. Let Jesus second coming be the AMEN of your prayer here on earth. (Rev 3:14 these things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness…)
• Like Jehoshaphat and his army did before they went into battle, can you choose to praise God and gave him thanks in everything? Do you know that the Lord will defeat your enemies all around you and for this you can give Him thanks? It is at that point that our enemies will begin to turn on themselves.
Listen, God knows how to fight for you. You just need to follow these easy instructions, and let the Lord do the rest.
This brings us to the message that God has given me for you this morning. It is found in Matthew chapter 11.
