CHOOSING THE CROSS-LIFE

Choosing The Cross-Life
Lenny Ports
Coming up on 28 years ago, Jesus Christ came into my life and has changed me. My kids don't know the old Lenny that had a bad temper, would drink and get drunk, take drugs, play rock music and contribute to the degradation of society. 28 years ago, God delivered me out of bondage and into freedom. He has set me free and delivered me from so much. He set my feet on a firm foundation that can never be moved. Jesus is now my Lord and I don't ever want to go back there. Like the old song says, "I never want to go back to my old life.." There really is no life there. I have come out of the world, came through the cross, I repented, turned to Jesus, and now I am living for Him.

It is not necessarily lifestyle only that distinguishes us from the world, it is the cross that separates us from the world. Lifestyle will follow. A church that preaches lifestyle and not the cross is "Check the Box" Christianity. Let me explain. If every Sunday I am hearing don't c ...
