Galatians 6:14; 1 Corinthians 1:17

Place the cross between
You and God
You and the World
You and Others

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

In the life of a Christian, the CROSS is placed between them and the World.

It means that the cross stands between you and the world. There are many influences in the world. The world is a system. It is a mindset. It is a set of values. It is a subjective standard of right and wrong. It is knowledge and power and education and intellectualism and philosophy and religion and personal belief systems. The influences of this world have been crucified to me and I have been crucified to the world. I reckon myself dead to sin but alive to God. A crucified man is a dead man. So if my flesh wants to follow the ways of the world, or if I want to receive accolades from man, or if I yearn for the trinkets that this world has to offer me, I consider myself dead to it.

- You are ransomed and redeemed
- You are triumphant over sin (because the power of sin has been broken)

SIN BUILT THE CROSS, BUT HIS LOVE PUT HIM ON THE CROSS

What is the power of God?

- Power is not of you,
- Power must come from God.
- For God to take my life and completely transform it.

THE PENALTY OF SIN WAS TAKEN, AND THE POWER OF SIN ...
