God insists on being Himself and doing things His own way. Man doesn't like this very much and thinks it foolishness. But he needs to be careful because "the foolishness of God is wiser than men."

A. His insistence on revealing His glory.
1. In His unique character. Isaiah 43:11; Deuteronomy 4:35

B. His resistance to sharing His glory.

C. His persistence in demonstrating His glory. Philippians 2:6-11
1. Incarnation.

Paul's arrival in Corinth heralded the start of a new life for many people. Because of his ministry many turned to the Lord, and the Church was founded. However, things were not going as well as they might have done, and Paul reminds them how they got started and how they need to go on. He talks a lot of sense to them.
