Life Lived Under The Sun (2 of 5)
Series: Full - Why Not Live This Way?
Pastor Frank Damazio
INTRODUCTION: This is our second session in our series on "Full", living life the way God desires for each person. This series is a walk through the life and writings of Solomon, who started full but ended empty. If you are empty and have never been full, this series is for you. If you have ever been full but now are empty, this series is for you. If you have always had a half-full life, or a life that has been drained of its vitality, you are in the right place. God desires to fill your vessel to the brim and to overflowing.
I. THREE KINDS OF PEOPLE WHO NEED TO BE FULL
A. The person whose life is filled to the brim with life's activities
John 2:7 Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim.
1. The water of life can fill your water pot. But, being filled with busyness and life's activities without a God-perspective and a God-touch will leave you living life under the sun.
2. The water of life in you must be transformed by the miracle touch of Jesus so that your life becomes like the miracle wine.
3. The will of God is for you to be filled with the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
B. The person whose life has become an empty house
Matthew 12:43-44 "When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.
Message "When a defiling evil spirit is expelled from someone, it drifts along through the desert looking for an oasis, some unsuspecting soul it can bedevil. When it doesn't find anyone, it says, 'I'll go back to my old haunt.' On return it finds the person spotlessly clean, but vacant.
