Acts 2:36-47
Strictly speaking "Church" is not somewhere we go, it is something we are. "Church" is not a building, "Church" is the people who may or may not have a building. What do we know about these people who constitute the Church?
I. The Church-"Relationship People." vv. 36-41
A. Related to Jesus-Lord and Christ.
1. Convinced minds. v. 36
a. Jesus as Christ is the means of salvation.
b. Jesus as Lord is the basis of authority.
2. Convicted consciences. v. 37
a. Articulated concern-What should we do?
i. We have discounted His salvation.
ii. We have denied His authority.
b. Demonstrated repentance. v. 38
i. A change of heart-"Metanoia."
ii. A confession of change-baptism.
iii. A consciousness of forgiveness.
B. Related to the Holy Spirit.
