Life is the most precious commodity we will ever handle. It begins with the miracle of birth and ends with the intervention of death-events beyond our control. But what happens in between is largely governed by the attitudes we adopt, the decisions we make, and the directions we follow. Jesus left no room for doubt that it is possible to mess it up. He said we must:
I. Square Up to the Issues.
A. The issues of life's options.
1. Saving it only to lose it. v. 35
a. The profit that leads to loss. v. 36
b. The trading that leads to bankruptcy. v. 37
2. Losing it only to save it. v. 35
a. Losing it for the sake of Christ.
b. Losing it in the service of Christ.

2. The philosophy of secular minds. v. 33
3. The pollution of sinful society. v. 38
