Ephesians 5:15-21
The events of Pentecost and the following days show that the Christian church moved in the power of the Spirit. There was a touch of the supernatural about their lives and ministry. The same Spirit is resident in the modern church but His presence and fullness need to be understood and experienced.
I. What Does It Mean to Be Filled with the Spirit?
A. Don't get drunk.
B. Do be filled.
C. Do you have to be emptied to be filled?
D. Are drunk men emptied before they are filled?
E. Drunk men are captivated, motivated and activated by
alcohol.
F. To be filled is to be captivated, motivated, activated by the
Spirit.
II. What Is Involved in Being Filled with the Spirit?
A. First, we need to be "sealed" with the Spirit. Ephesians 1:13
B. Second, we need to know Who the Spirit is. Ephesians 2:22
