Stuart Briscoe
James 5:1-12
The return of Christ in glory-or the second advent-will be in marked contrast to His initial coming-or first advent-in obscurity and humility. 3. The angels' affirmation. Acts 1:11
4. The Apostles' proclamation. 1 Thessalonians 4:15 16
B. The program is concealed.

2. The timing is not advertised. Matthew 24:42 51
C. The practicalities are compelling.
1. It is the Lord who is coming-so acknowledge Him. v. 7
2. His coming is near-so await Him. v. 8
3. He will judge in righteousness-so obey Him. v. 9
4. He will bring things to completion (Telos)-so trust Him. v. 11
