CHARACTERISTICS OF AN EMERGING LEADERSHIP CULTURE
Characteristics Of An Emerging Leadership Culture
Frank Damazio
Introduction: Today leaders face the great challenge of not only growing a great church, but of growing great leaders to lead the church. In a Church Servant Resources survey to churches, the number one need was leadership development. Many churches lack a clear path for developing leaders within the congregation. Some muddle their way through, patching together a plan. Leaders are to build a culture of church growth strategically, not accidentally. We want to see planned growth that comes through work and faith. The growth of the church includes adding new believers, growing those believers, and calling those believers to become fully devoted followers of Christ. The emerging leadership culture is carefully established and strategically nurtured by the leadership team. Finding, developing, and releasing qualified leaders into the local church is the primary mission of the leadership team.
