STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP MOMENTS
Strategic Leadership Moments
Frank Damazio
Introduction: My message today has been cooking for awhile. I've had this thought and I believe a Holy Spirit nudge, as I've turned over in my mind the words of my title, "Strategic Leadership Moments." Leaders have these moments: some bad moments, some sad moments, some dark moments, some puzzling moments, some moments of inspiration, moments where dreams take wings and begin to live, after moments of dreams dying or going into obscurity. There are moments when ministry is the best thing that could ever happen to us, and then moments of utter despair. There is no doubt in my mind that ministry is made up of very strategic moments where leaders are shaped. Out of the moment arises a new you, a new day. Our moments affect our ministries, our churches, and the world around us. All of us are ready for the God moment, the turning point moment.
Isaiah 27:3 I, the Lord, keep it, I water it every moment; lest any hurt it, I keep it night and day.
ESV I, the Lord, am its keeper; every moment I water it. Lest anyone punish it, I keep it night and day.
GNT I watch over it and water it continually. I guard it night and day so that no one will harm it.
Message I, God, tend it. I keep it well-watered. I keep careful watch over it so that no one can damage it.
NRSV I, the LORD, am its keeper; every moment I water it. I guard it night and day so that no one can harm it.
