Creating and Sustaining Spiritual Momentum

INTRODUCTION: Momentum is the power of the Holy Spirit in action, causing the church to be righteously stimulated to arise and fulfill vision. Momentum is evidenced by joy, expectation, zeal, bold worship and a willingness to work together. It is like a mighty wave that carries all that are in it by the power and movement of the wave. Spiritually advancing people are those who maintain a cutting edge in attitude and ministry by moving consistently forward in fulfilling their God-given mission. The leader plays a vital part in creating momentum in the local church. If the leader is a true spiritual mover, the church will be moved and will move into the future.
Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.
Exodus 14:15-16 And the Lord said to Moses, ''Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.''
Joshua 17:14-18 Then the children of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, ''Why have you given us only one lot and one share to inherit, since we are a great people, inasmuch as the Lord has blessed us until now?''
