Introduction: An article in Fortune 500 magazine called "God and Business" talks of the surprising quest for spiritual renewal in the American workplace. The church is called to "go". Our mission is to go into every person's world and to be the kingdom atmosphere bringer. The marketplace is God's workplace and we as leaders and as the church want you to know that we believe and have a vision for marketplace impact and transforming culture, which certainly includes the workplace.

Fact: People spend more time working at their jobs in the marketplace than any other social activity.

Fact: To many, work is a toilsome necessity that must be done to survive but carries little of their hearts.

I. MY PRESUPPOSITION AND THEOLOGY

A. MY PRESUPPOSITION

God has called people to the marketplace to be a kingdom person, to prosper and be successful, to learn skills of stewardship and financial accountability, to make a difference in the culture, the city, and the world, and to break the spirit of lack and poverty.

B. MY THEOLOGY

God is in the marketplace as His kingdom has no barriers or limitations. It exists now and is found everywhere that people know the king of the kingdom. The kingdom of God is within believers, established by believers, and expanded by believers.

Luke 17:21 nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."

Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Luke 11:2 So He said to them, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

II. EMPOWERING PEOPLE FOR MARKETPLACE IMPACT

A. THE MARKETPLACE NEED

1. We must take the gospel to where people are instead of expecting them to come to where we are. They are in the marketplace.

2. We need people in the marketplace who have a godly worldview.
