BROKEN AND UNBROKEN LEADERS

Broken And Unbroken Leaders
Frank Damazio

Introduction: What is the secret of the leaders that God has highly honored and blessed beyond anything they could have achieved on their own? What about Joseph, Moses, Elijah, David, Jeremiah, Job, Jonah, Paul and Jesus? What was their secret to success, their secret to miracle achievements and lasting impact on their world and ours? What leadership strength gave these such marvelous success? Certainly we would want whatever they had. As leaders, let us ask God for a revelation of hidden leadership truths to make us better leaders, impacting leaders, leaders that follow the pattern of Biblical greats. This secret of making great leaders is the "shavar" factor.

Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart - these, O God, You will not despise.

Good News: My sacrifice is a humble spirit, O God; you will not reject a humble and repentant heart.

The Message: I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don't for a moment escape God's notice.

Net Bible: The "sacrifices" God desires are a humble attitude- O God, a humble and repentant heart you will not reject.

New Century: The sacrifice God wants is a broken spirit. God, you will not reject a heart that is broken and sorry for sin.

New Revised Standard: The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Young's Literal Translation: The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a heart broken and bruised, O God, Thou dost not despise.

Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.

Mark 14:3 And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head.
