Introduction: Every church has its own culture, its own feel, or atmosphere about it. Church culture is the behavior (rituals), values (beliefs), principles (rules) and atmosphere of a group of people. Atmosphere is touched but not always explained. Every person, home, business, church, city, and nation has a unique atmosphere. An atmosphere is a pervading or surrounding influence or spirit, general mood or environment.

I. THE POWER OF ATMOSPHERE

A. BIBLICAL ATTITUDE

1. Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

B. THE NEGATIVE POWER OF ATMOSPHERE

2. The atmosphere of chaos, emptiness, and darkness
