Open with me to Luke Chapter 13, the thirteenth chapter of Luke as we continue to think about the subject of spiritual warfare. I want to speak tonight about breaking the bonds.

In Luke Chapter 13 there is a story about a woman Jesus said had been bound by Satan for eighteen years. It is an interesting story because here is a woman who is a child of God, here is a woman who loves the Lord and yet she is a woman who is oppressed by the devil.

We talked in these Sunday nights about how Satan attacks. We talked about people being demon obsessed and demon oppressed and demon possessed. I believe she is demon oppressed, a woman who has been oppressed and bound by the devil.

Now look at verse 11, ''AND, BEHOLD, THERE WAS A WOMAN WHICH HAD A SPIRIT OF INFIRMITY EIGHTEEN YEARS, AND WAS BOWED TOGETHER, AND COULD IN NO WISE LIFT UP HERSELF.

AND WHEN JESUS SAW HER, HE CALLED HER TO HIM AND SAID UNTO HER, ''WOMAN THOU ART LOOSE FROM THY INFIRMITY''

AND HE LAID HIS HANDS ON HER AND IMMEDIATELY SHE WAS MADE STRAIGHT AND GLORIFIED GOD

AND THE RULER OF THE SYNAGOGUE ANSWERED WITH INDIGNATION BECAUSE THAT JESUS HAD HEALED UPON THE SABBATH DAY AND SAID UNTO THE PEOPLE, ''THERE ARE SIX DAYS WHICH MEN ART TO WORK IN THEM THEREFORE COME AND BE HEALED AND NOT ON THEH SABBATH DAY.''

THE LORD THEN ANSWERED HIM AND SAID, ''THOU HYPOCRITE, DOTH NOT EACH ONE OF YOU ON THE SABBATH LOOSE HIS OX OR ASS FROM THE STALL AND LEAD HIM AWAY TO WATERING?

AND ART NOT THIS WOMAN BEING A DAUGHTER OF ABRAHAM WHOM SATAN HATH BOUND (notice those words) SATAN HATH BOUND LO THESE EIGHTEEN YEARS BE LEASHED FROM THIS BOUND ON THE SABBATH DAY?''

AND WHEN HE SAID THESE THINGS ALL HIS ADVOSARIES WERE ASHAMED AND ALL THE PEOPLE REJOICED FOR ALL THE GLORIOUS THINGS THAT WERE DONE BY HIM.''

Now as I look at this story tonight it reminds me that salvation touches every area of our lif ...
