Awakening Abandonment (3 of 5)
Series: Awakening
Frank Damazio
Introduction: The Awakening series is a spiritual encounter experience for each individual, as we all need a shaking by the Holy Spirit. We have postured ourselves with fasting and prayer so as to open our life up to God and receive all we can. Awakening Abandonment is an "I surrender all" message, a reminder and motivation to everyone that we belong to Jesus, we have been bought with a price and our life belongs to God. Transformation from new believer to fully devoted follower, as with anything, takes discipline.
I. DEFINING ABANDONMENT
A. ABANDONMENT DEFINED
2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
Message Translation: God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him.

2. Solomon
1 Kings 8:22, 54 Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven… And so it was, when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to the Lord, that he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
