Our parents grow old and leave us; our children grow up and live their own lives; our lives become complex at times but Jesus is always the same and always there. Jesus knows how to touch you exactly when you need to be touched. When others cannot touch your hidden heart, your deep fears, your questions, Jesus can touch you.
When Jesus touches a life, something supernatural and wonderful happens. His touch of grace always changes a life and works a miracle beyond anything expected.
I. WHEN JESUS TOUCHES THE IMPOSSIBLE
Matthew 8:1-3 Jesus came down the mountain with the cheers of the crowd still ringing in his ears. Then a leper appeared and went to his knees before Jesus, praying, "Master, if you want to, you can heal my body." Jesus reached out and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be clean." Then and there, all signs of leprosy were gone.
A. TOUCHING THE HOPELESS LEPER
Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Matthew 11:5 The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
