We have an exciting lesson today. Let's just go to the Lord in prayer and I want us just to pray for those special needs that are represented here that we may not even know about.

Many times people come with the decisions, with burdens that weigh heavy upon them and we are not even aware of that. We don't know what is in the heart of a person or what they are facing.

We always want to be sensitive to pray that God will use these lessons not just for something that is neat to learn but something that will really help in people's lives.

Father, we praise you and we thank you for this lesson today. We know that the Bible is your word. We know that it doesn't contain your word but it is your very word and Father we thank you that it is infallible and inerrant but Lord by the same spirit who wrote this book through men must interpret it to each of our lives and each of our hearts. He must illumine these scriptures and provide the application that we need in our life today. Thank you that He can take lesson and the Holy Spirit can apply it to every life in a different way to meet every need. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Well, I want us to turn this morning if you have your Bible to the book of Philippians. If you didn't bring a Bible many of the passages are written on your outline to help you follow along. If we just keep our Bibles open to the book of Philippians, we are going to look at that book today because Philippians is the joy book.

Our title is How To Be Joyful No Matter What. Many times when difficult things come in life we wonder how we can have joy. One of the great examples of this is the apostle Paul who wrote the book of Philippians from the Mametine prison In Rome.
