1st Thessalonians 5:16-18
I was flipping around channels not too long ago, just kind of relaxing and vegging, and I was flipping around, and I flipped to a channel that had a masked magician. It was called "Magic's Biggest Secrets Revealed." Man, I started watching. It was so cool. They were spilling the beans on all the illusionists, all these guys that you see on television, how they did these tricks. You know, how, when they make the elephant just go away - how they do that. I mean, when you're watching that stuff, and you're thinking to yourself, There's no way. How are you going to make an elephant disappear? They show you the secret of how it's done. And I found myself saying, "Oh, that's how they do it. Wow! How ingenuous."
Now have you ever met a person who is so full of life, so full of joy, so full of excitement, yet that person might be going through terrible, horrible trials? And you say to yourself, How does this person do that? Man, if I was going through what they're going through, I'd be so down in the dumps. I'd be so depressed, so discouraged. I couldn't even get out of bed in the morning. And this person is rejoicing. How d ...
