Lord, we give You praise. We thank You that all of life is about You. We thank You that in heaven they never cease to sing Your praises. God, that we would do that in our lives. As the psalmist said, "Seven times a day I will praise You for Your greatness, for Your works, for Your goodness, for Your love." And we give You praise and honor, Lord, in this house, and we ask You to speak powerfully through Your Word. Help our hearts to be good soil to receive and to do what You say. In Jesus' name. Amen.

It was about 30 years ago when I first read the true story of an incredible guy. He was, perhaps, the most incredible human being who has ever lived. I mean, if there was anything that you can think of that you would want to have, he had it. Power - he rose to the top of the heap. Prestige - he had it. Nobody had the prestige this guy had. Fame - everybody talked about him. Everywhere you went they would talk about this guy. Money - he had money coming out his ears. He had servants. His servants had servants. That's how many servants this guy had. And he was handsome. And he was so incredibly smart. And, as far as romance goes, he was so charming. I mean, he didn't have one or two girls that were interested in him. He had hundreds of women who were interested in him, who were just waiting for him to call, who would just be by the phone, so to speak, waiting. "I hope this guy calls me because I just want to be with him so badly, just to go out on a date with him, just to be close to him." Every guy that saw this guy, that heard about this guy, that read about this guy, they wanted to be this guy because they say, "That guy's got it all together. That guy is so deliriously happy. Look at all the things he has."

But you know the truth? Solomon wasn't happy. He was miserable. He was miserable inside. He wrote the book of Ecclesias ...
