You and I are desperate for the nearness of God. All of all the ways we hope to grow in this life...the physical proximity of our Heavenly Father is essential...our greatest present will always be His presence.
Introduction

We've looked at this same portion of the Christmas narrative through the lens of the shepherds but this weekend, we see through the lens of Bethlehem...which symbolically represents being chosen.

-1 Samuel 16:7-13
In the Kingdom of God, moments of inclusion are not intended to create feelings of exclusion...the other cities, the other brothers are supposed to be inspired to wait well for their own moment of being chosen!
I am a candidate for supernatural, other worldly, open heaven, God initiated divine encounters...God is going to choose to be near to me...I am going to have Bethlehem moments with my God! (threshold moments)
What keeps me from me from believing that for myself? Why do I have feelings of exclusion?
