Is one that all of us have asked and will ask again. Lord we don't pretend to have any wisdom or any knowledge outside your word so we pray you will reveal wisdom and understanding regarding these questions that fill our minds. Father, there are those who come today undoubtedly out of a real need, a sense of burden, a sense of searching for an answer and I pray that you will bless them especially today and relate your word to them and minister to their hearts Father your grace. We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.
This morning I want you to turn first to the book of Job. Job Chapter 1 and the study is entitled - When We Ask Why Life's Greatest Mysteries answered by the Bible.
Our question today is one that in almost thirty years in the ministry I have heard again and again and again.
Almost every day as I deal with people who are good people, people who love the Lord, people who don't have an enemy in the world, people who make a positive contribution to their world and a positive contribution to the Kingdom of God.
Then they are taken from us. Some of them it seems prematurely, some of them are very young, some of them may be older but they are people who were making a tremendous contribution to this world and to their family.
It is most difficult for us to understand why not only are they taken but why they had to suffer. You know, I have watched some of the finest people I have known and people that I know very well who suffer.
If that question comes to my mind, being a pastor, going to theological seminary, does not exem ...
