Job 30:20
Let's join together in prayer. Father, we thank you for answered prayer. Lord, we thank you that some we have been praying for are much better physically, that you have touched and healed their body. We pray you will continue to heal. Father there are others who have heavy burdens because of the illness of loved ones and Father some have been struggling with caring for aged parents. Father there are just so many needs today that you care about and you are concerned about. Lord, we pray especially for your wisdom, for your insight as we consider the lesson today about unanswered prayer. Father only the Holy Spirit can teach us and reveal truth to us. So we pray that He would do that today in Jesus' name. Amen.
First of all we are going to look at Job Chapter 30. It seems that in this series on ''When We Ask Why'' again and again we turn to the book of Job because Job's experience certainly was an experience that was hard to understand.
Here was a man of upright faith, he walked with God, he was a moral man, a man who was a wonderful testimony to the Lord, and yet of course he grew very ill, he lost his family, he lost his health, he lost just about everything that a person could lose
You could understand why Job comes to say what he does in Job 30:20. I don't know if you have been there but if you have been in a tie when you felt you needed God's help, you needed an answer from the Lord, and you did not get an answer then you can identify with Job.
Look at what he says in Job 30:20. He said, 'I CRY OUT TO THE FOR HELP, BUT THOU DOST NOT ANSWER ME; I STAND UP, AND THOU DOST TURN THY ATTENTION AGAINST ME. THOUGH HAS BECOME CRUEL TO ME; WITH THE MIGHT OF THY HAND THOU DOST PERSECUTE ME.''
