Thank you for the music this morning and you know, I had a really, I was hoping my voice would make it today and I was in pretty good shape when I came into the room but then Eddie does all those good songs and I started singing some of those songs and that didn't do me any good at all but wasn't it good to worship the Lord with those wonderful songs?
On Christmas Day, we were at the Faciane's and you know, just enjoying Christmas and somewhere the conversation from Laura Leigh asking questions about Jesus conquering hell and death and the grave and so I was explaining that and saying that's what happened - when Jesus died on the cross and they buried Him, that He came out of that grave alive that He conquered death, hell and the grave and Lillie speaks up and says, "Momma said we conquered Wal-Mart." Well, we hopefully conquered 2011. I hope 2011 has been a good year for you and your family even though we are blessed, this has been the most difficult year for our family. From my heart blockage to Christy's cancer, to multiple staff infections for the Koch's and Mom's stroke, and all kinds of lesser struggles, too many to even talk about in the time that I have. Sometimes things have been so crazy this year that you either had to laugh or cry and we chose to laugh many times because it was just comical that in the midst of all of that, you know, Leigh almost steps on a snake on our porch and then an alligator in the yard - our neighbor's yard, that was just an indication of the kind of year that we were having and it did seem at times that we were under demonic attack but through it all, we found that God is trustworthy and that God is faithful and through it all we were able to grow spiritually and our faith is stronger.
