Luke 4:1-13
The biggest theft in the history of Philadelphia was carried out by
a couple of men who just happened to be in the right place at the right time. According to witnesses, a yellow container fell out of
an armored truck. Two motorists following the truck jumped out,
grabbed the object and sped off laughing.
The driver discovered later that the rear door had not been secured properly, allowing it to swing open and the money to fall out. The container had in it 12,000 one-hundred-dollar bills, which was 1.2
million dollars!
A criminal mind would interpret such a stroke of fortune as a gift from God. But in some more subtle ways, all of us are tempted to assume that an unusual opportunity carries with it divine approval.
We can be tempted when we think no one will see what we do,
or when we think it is only a small sin that doesn't really matter.

Temptation is the act of enticing someone to do what is wrong.
It is to try and get someone to and evil act by breaking God's law.
Every temptation is great or small according to our character.
We need to see that temptations can be resisted rather than opportunities to be taken for our personal advantage.
DIVINE LEADING :1
Led by the Spirit because he was to be tempted with the same temptations we face to show that he was a human being like us.
If he was not tempted we wouldn't know if he was really like us.
Heb. 4:15 He was tempted in every way, just as we are . . .
The purpose was to show that he was perfect and sinless because then he could become the perfect Lamb of God to die for our sins.
