Chapter 4
Whose Their Own Ways
Isaiah 66:3
"He who kills a bull is as if he slays a man;
He who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dog's neck;
He who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine's blood;
He who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol.
Just as they have chosen their own ways,
And their soul delights in their abominations,"
The Holy Spirit stood as a great teacher and declared truth, "These evil people of old did every thing by their own ways. They were not interested in God's better ways; hence they never knew their God. These people loved their sins and they were not about to change even if it would have benefited from the change. They could not see or hear the benefit in obeying God's voice."
I chimed in, "Nothing has changed My Lord. People still want God on their terms and not on Your terms. So if I am to come to God and be His temple then I better make sure it is clean by Your holy standards. Is that right?
Abba Father said, "Son, you are correct. Many, so called Christians, think they can keep, in their temples, the abominations of old sinful images. Let me give you an example; may I?"
"Who am I to say so? Of course You can give me understanding. I hunger and thirst for Your understanding for I am so tired of man's ideas," I humbly said in reverence to my Heavenly Father.
The Father nodded His head in affirmation and He continued, "They say with their lips that they love me but they continue in their lustful desires for pornographic images. They say that they love me yet they play with sin in their imaginations and in secret. Did you know they send naked photos of themselves to others through the internet? They say they want more of me yet they hold onto their bitterness, unforgivenenss, and resentment. Woe to them who continue lying, cheating, and being a false witness.
