What To Do When God Doesn't Answer My Prayers (13 of 13)
Series: When We Ask What?
Dr. Stan Coffey
2 Corinthians 1:4
Introduction
This morning I want to welcome you to our class time and welcome those who are guests visiting with us or those who are in the class today that may not normally be here. We want to welcome you and thank you for coming and this is the last of our series of lessons on "What to do When We ask what in Life".
When we ask what, we have been talking about the whats of life and last week we about what is God's will for my life and today's lesson is akin to that. We are going to talk about today what to do when God doesn't answer my prayer.
I think you will find this an interesting lesson and hopefully an enlightening lesson as well. Next Sunday we will be talking about the birth of Christ and about the miracle of the virgin birth, about what that means to us and then on the 24th we will not have a class. We will have our service at ten o'clock on the 24th on Sunday morning.
We will have a beautiful Christmas service with the Lord's Supper and then on the 31st and the 6th of January, whichever it happens to be, those two Sundays we will be talking about the new year and God's direction for the new year in our class. We will be talking about that from God's word.
And then we are going to begin a brand series in the book of Matthew following the footsteps of Christ, the life of Christ from the book of Matthew and we will be in that series all year because we are going to verse by verse and do an exhibition of the book of Matthew. So I hope that you will plan to be with us after the first of the year and follow the story of the greatest life ever lived, the greatest story ever told.
I want us to look first of all at 2 Corinthians Chapter 1 and Verse 4. Then we are going to go to James Chapter 4. We are talking today about what to do when God does not answer my prayers.
We could put a post script to that title what ...
