All I Want For Christmas

Don Gardner wrote "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" in 1946. I have a paper weight on my desk with Lori's 6 year old picture on it. She is smiling with her front teeth missing. It is one of my favorite pictures of her. I guess two front teeth would be an appropriate gift for a 6 year old.
-Have you made your Christmas list? I hope you have because the time is drawing near. Most of us don't really need anything. That is why it is so hard for people to buy for us.
-When I was a teenager I saw a BB gun in the Sears and Roebuck catalogue. I wanted that gun so badly for Christmas. However, that Christmas the only gift I got was a Bible. I can't tell you how disappointed I was. Little did I know that a few years later I would commit my life to preach that Bible. As it turned out it was the best Christmas gift I ever received.
-One of my Pascagoula families had a son who made out his Christmas list and gave it to them. He had listed about 15 to 20 items. But what got their attention was his final entry on his list was an ATM machine.
-I want to give you my Christmas list this morning.
1. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE FAITH OF MARY AND JOSEPH.
They heard the Christmas story for the very first time. They were so humble before God. Both of them received information that was logically and physically impossible. However, they acted on the revelation because they believed God.
-Ellon and I have lived by faith a few times in our lives. We tried to write down a budget for ourselves when I was the pastor of two churches in Union County. However, we had more month than money; but we made it.
-When Lee was born here in Ripley we did not have insurance. If I remember correctly, the hospital cost was 289 dollars. I preached a revival the week before Lee was born. The love offering was 300 dollars.
