INTRODUCTION:
Proper Dating is the key to an exciting and enduring romance.
NOW - I didn't say you are doomed to get a divorce if you don't date. I know tons of people who don't date their spouse or do so correctly that are still married. However, if you really value excitement and romance in your marriage the key is proper dating. And let me warn you it is HARD work.
It will require you to rethink your - Budget and Calendar.
It will require some serious creativity and study.
But it will pay great dividends in building a marriage that your kids will envy. BTW, that is one of my dreams, I want my kids to look at mom and dad and say, ''I want what they have''.
PROPOSITION: I want to ask you to consider setting aside one night every week for the rest of your life to which you will devote more money for this meal than any other in your week. Simply to be with your spouse and do what it takes to fan the flames of an enduring romance.
DATE - This time each week is not a time to build friendships with others. This is just for the two of you. It is for you to focus on your bride and remind yourself of why you choose her out of all the girls in the world.
1. Dating Requires Mutual Admiration
At this point Solomon and the Shulamite are in separate locations thinking and preparing for their date.
Solomon speaks -
1 ''I am the rose of Sharon, The lily of the valleys.'' 2 ''Like a lily among the thorns, So is my darling among the maidens.''
