That's where we are today. We are going to talk about the Lord's Prayer in just a minute. Somewhere in the mountains at a country store a stranger walked in and saw a hound dog over in the corner and the hound dog was howling as they often do. And the stranger said what's wrong with that dog. And the store keeper said he's sitting on cockle burr. And he said why don't he get off. He said, he'd rather holler. You know that's sometimes I think how we are as believers. That instead of dealing with our issues and doing what we are supposed to do we'd rather just complain and talk about them but not ever really deal with it. What is the one thing that you could do to improve yourself in a positive way in every area of your life in 2011? One thing that you could do that would help you in every area? It would help your marriage. It would help your family life. It would help your job performance. It would help your relationships. What is the one thing that you could do in 2011? You know we've got all these eight resolutions, seven resolutions, ten resolutions. That kind of discourages you. But what is the one thing that you could do that would make a positive impact on every area of your life. Not only that by doing this one thing it would also improve your joy in the Lord. You probably figured out by now what I'm talking about. The answer is prayer. The one thing that could do more for you than anything else. That could impact your life this year in a positive way more than any other thing. The Bible tells us that every really good and permanent thing that flows out of our lives comes through prayer.
