In Hebrews 11:6, the Bible tells us how to please God. You know mankind through the centuries of time has inately known that there is a God and had a desire to please God. So the religions of the world are man's attempt to please God.

Sometimes, man has attempted to please God by building a statue or an idol and bowing before that statue and thinking that God could be pleased if they worshiped what their mind could conceive God looking like. So they would make a graven image and they would worship at the feet of that graven image.

Others have tried to please God by going through rules and regulations, and they've made pleasing God a matter of keeping laws and a matter of legalism… dotting every "i" and crossing every "t", trying to please God. And they just hope that their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, and if their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, then God is going to be pleased. And maybe God will grade on a curve and balance them out, so that they will be better than somebody else.

But, the Bible tells us very clearly in Hebrews 11:6 how to please God. It says, "But without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him."

So, it tells us that faith is the only way we can please God. You know Paul says in another place in Romans… "Whatsoever is not of faith is sin." And so the only way to please God is a life of faith. Faith pleases God more than anything else.

Jesus again and again remarked to the people of His day, "O, ye of little faith." And Jesus always commended those in whom He found real, genuine faith. But the question tonight is: "How do I know that I am exercisin ...
