We want to talk about faith again. And, we are seeing, all of the time, answers to our prayers, and we are seeing answers to our faith, and what happens when we trust God and step out on His promises.

Tonight, I want us to look at Acts chapter 1, and I am going to talk a little bit tonight about resources for faith. Resources for faith. And these are some of the reasons that we can have faith, and we can have a growing faith in the Lord.

And when Jesus left this earth and went back to heaven, he didn't leave us without the resources that we need to live a life of faith and to walk by faith and to get our prayers answered.

And, I want to begin in verse 1 and just set the stage: Jesus has gathered His disciples on the Mount of Olives. He has risen from the dead, and has been with them for 40 days. He has been doing three things in those 40 days after His resurrection: He has been comforting His disciples, He has been convincing His disciples, and now He is commissioning His disciples.

The last words of any person are important, but how even more important are the last words of Jesus! It is as though He was saying, "Don't forget this! If you forget everything else before I leave you, don't forget what I am going to tell you."
Now let's look at verse 1: "The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
2Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
3To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the ...
