Late one Saturday night, the phone rang in a private residence. The man of the house, awakened out of his sleep, rolled over picked up the receiver and answered, "Hello." The voice on the other end asked, "Is John there?" The man said, "I'm sorry, you've got the wrong number."

About 20 minutes later, the phone rang again. The man rolled over, picked up the receiver and answered, "Hello." The voice on the other end asked, "Is John there?" The man said, "I'm sorry, sir, but as I told you before, you've got the wrong number."

About 10 minutes later, the phone rang again. The man rolled over, picked up the receiver and answered, "Hello." The voice on the other end asked, "Is John there?" The man responded angrily, "Listen, I told you that you've got the wrong number. There is no one named John who lives here. So, don't call again, because I've got to get up early to go to work." Then, he slammed the phone onto the receiver.

About 5 minutes later, the phone rang again. The man, not yet back to sleep, reached over, picked up the receiver and shouted, "What?" The voice on the other end said, "Hello. This is John. I was wondering if I had any messages."

The call of God is one of the most gracious, and glorious calls anyone could ever receive. As we saw last week, the call of God is a call you cannot mistake, as well as, a call you do not want to miss.

The call of God is a personal call. When God calls, He doesn't send a telegram, a messenger, or a pigeon. His call is divine, deliberate and definite.
