If you have your Bible let's study what God has to say about being accepted and adopted.
Ephesians 1:1-6 "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved."
Last time I talked about how God's healing grace is able to work in our lives to heal us by helping us to see what God thinks of us. I closed that message by saying that your self-image is determined by what the person that you think the most of thinks of you. Whatever the person you think the most of, that matters the most in your life, thinks the most of you, will help to shape the opinion you have of your self. So if that person is Jesus Christ and you know how Jesus Christ feels about you as one of His children then it helps to bring about an inner healing in your life because you discover how very special you are to God.
It may be that there are some people in this world that you will never please, some teachers you will never please, a mate or our parents, but you know someone once said that if you please Jesus Christ, it doesn't matter who you displease. And if you displease Jesus Christ it doesn't matter who you please. So the one to whom you have given your life and has give ...
