Blessed with a Lighted Ministry (6 of 24)
Chapter 3 "God's Communication of a Lighted Union ….The Blessed
Series: That Glorious Union.....Ephesians
Wayne Hinson
Ephesians 3: 1 thru 2

Intro: Our world is filled with programs, places and people who all wear the tag of "minister",or ministry. Some are bad, some are good, but when we attach the word "godly" to the tag of minister or ministry, the choice and variety diminishes very quickly. Scams are not foreign to the Christian society, for it seems that every day brings a new scam. The qualifications and quality of a declared ministry can only be measured and marked by the infallible Word of God. In the light of His Word, personalities fade away, programs finish last, promotions fail first, and prosperity flim-flams are fruitless. Paul's definition and description of a godly ministry presents to us a straight and stark exhortation that we all should adhere to, not only in order to judge the quality of ministry, but also to judge the qualifications of a minister. In verses 1-2, Paul proclaims his reason, his restraint, his realm. his reception, and his reach, which when combined by the inspired pen of the apostle, became a full, fresh and final declaration of a quality and qualified godly ministry. Chapter 3 begins with occupants of the church, that is the lighted union, and also ends in verse 21 with the ovation in the church, which is the lifted union. In chapter one, we noticed the Body which is blessed, in chapter two we saw the building which is blessed, now we will see the blessed who are blessed. In chapter one, we looked at the forming of the body of the church, in chapter two we noticed the foundation of the building of the church, and now we will examine the fuel for the blessed of the church.
