Rescue the Perishing...The Fish Gate (3 of 11)
Series: Realms of Revival

Nehemiah 3: 3 thru 5; Mark 1:17

Intro: The Fish Gate is the soul winner's gate in the experience of the Christian life. The ruins of this gate is in desperate need of repair in the realm of the saints and the church. We have allowed this gate to be broken down, burned with fire, and for all practical purposes destroyed. This gate follows, in order, immediately after the Sheep Gate. It is a natural and spiritual desire that the Holy Ghost implants in the soul of a new born child of God. If your salvation experience is real, then that realization of how God has rescued you from hell itself, redeemed your unworthy soul, and added you to the family of God, will compel you to witness to others. This is a good sign of repentance and genuine conversion. A saving experience at the Sheep Gate of redemption, will send you running to the Fish Gate of reaching out. Of all the ten gates mentioned, this is the only gate that Nehemiah had a problem with workers refusing to work! Great Biblical examples of this principle are:

I also see a vast sea of the ships of humanity lost at sea. Without a beacon light from shore, these poor lost ships be shipwrecked on the shores of hell. Ah, but thank God, from that Jesus Lighthouse comes a beacon of grace that brings good news to a hell bound ship. All that hell bound, helpless ship of humanity ...
