This morning I want to invite your attention to the book of Romans chapter 10 and I want to begin in verse 17. And today I want to talk about "Turning Your Dreams Into Reality In The New Year.” As we stand on the precipice of a brand new year and look back on the old year we realize that many of the dreams we had for last year did not become a reality.

All of us have dreams that we would like to become true. Some dream of financial independence. Some dream of living in God’s favor. Some dream of answered prayer regarding a situation or a loved one in your life. Some dream of having a second chance in the new year to become what God wants you to be. Some are dreaming of a promotion in their work in the new year. Some are dreaming of a closer walk with God. Some are dreaming about overcoming temptation, breaking ungodly habits, and overcoming hang-ups in their lives. There is one way and only one way that your dreams will come through in this New Year, and that is by faith. Dreams can be turned into reality this new year when we learn to exercise our faith.

Mountains can come crashing down, and the way made smooth if we just have faith. Giants can be overcome through the power of faith. This new year can be our best year if we have faith. The writer of Hebrews said,”Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Someone asks, “How can I increase my faith?”

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And you will find when you study scripture that faith is absolutely indispensable in the Christian life. Faith to a Christian is what a mainspring is to a watch. It is what fuel is to an automobile. If you are to achieve then you must believe. Now some people say, well I just don't believe in blind faith. The truth is that everybody has faith. Even an atheist has faith. He has faith that there is no God, he has faith the ...
