9Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still;

teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.

10"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,

and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

11For through me your days will be many,

and years will be added to your life.

12If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you;

if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer."

Your wisdom will reward you IF you are wise...

And out of that wisdom, we will really please God by living lives that listen to Him,
and by living lives that honor Him, we're really be SHOWING Jesus.

‘instruct a wise person and he or she will be even wiser'...

Now, God says that IF we are wise...
in other words, first off, we demonstrated wisdom by accepting Jesus,

and then as believers, we have asked God for Wisdom
and we're applying God's Wisdom in our lives,
then we will be rewarded...consider some of those rewards...

we'll have more peaceful lives because we're living under God's leading, we'll be making better decisions,
we'll be showing love,
we'll be not putting God second, or third, or somewhere else on
our list of must do's vs. nice to do's list,
but instead God will be first,
even if you have to change your lifestyle.

It's going to be out of following God's Wisdom that we'll be sold out to Jesus first,
and not to just living to make a living,
or living for the partying and boozing,
or living to support our habits,
or living to get as much s we can...as we bend the principles of living Godly lives.

But going back to verse 9 that I just read,
we need to understand that God does NOT force wisdom down our throats...
instead, as I've already shared, we chose whether to go to God
and accept His offer of wisdom,
and by doing just that.. ...
