Verse 1 of Prov. 8 says, Wisdom calls out. Do you know what is so awesome about this?
It means that once again, we are so blessed.
We're blessed because God is the One Who is once again,
showing His love towards us...and He does this by taking the initiative.
He doesn't even wait for us to wake up to the fact that we need His Wisdom...
so instead of just sitting back and waiting for us,
Jesus calls out and offers His wisdom.
Let's think for a moment about some of the ways Jesus does this.
One of the first ways God calls out is through His Holy Spirit.
In fact, Wisdom calls out to both the people
who don't know Jesus personally as their Savior and Lord
as well as to people who have already given their lives to Jesus.
Then too, God offers His Wisdom through other Christians.
Often times we miss this one, because we don't really like
what someone might say to us as they want to warn us.
How many times did you reject something your parents told you
only to find out later on that they really were pretty smart?
How did they get that way?
How did an old person like our mom or dad get such knowledge?
Could it be they had to experience something like
we're now experiencing once or maybe twice in their own lives
and God showed them how to handle it
and they want to share it with us so
we don't have to repeat their mistakes?
So, God will sometimes use a person to tell us something
in order to spare us from going through the same sort of trial or hardship. Isn't that a wisdom that each one of us would like to have
instead of having to learn something by the ‘school of hard knocks'?
Another way that God calls to us...or that God's Wisdom calls to us,
and folks, we've seen this over and over again,
is that God offers His wisdom through
His prea ...
