Our Shared Life in Christ's Church (1 of 5)
John Barnett
I Corinthians 12:12-27
This morning you are a vital, eternal, strategic part of the greatest work going on in the entire Universe--the Church of Jesus Christ, His Body, His Family, His Holy People and Nation!
Wow, that truth makes today's troubles, burdens, and fears seem much less foreboding, doesn't it?
That reality makes tomorrow's deadlines and pressures take on a bit different perspective, doesn't it?
But only if we let the truth of what God wants us to believe this morning settle deeply into our hearts, into our minds, and into our wills.

We are called as Christ's church to be united with Him, connected to Him, and because of our union with Christ--we are to pursue our connection, unity, and oneness with each other!
This morning we have been called together to communion at the Lord's Supper. We are invited because we are the church of Jesus Christ. The Lord and Savior of His church has invited us to partake of this reminder of our oneness in His Church, our unity because of His Cross, and our connectedness through His Body.
1 Corinthians 10:16-18 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. NKJV
