If you believe this is God's inerrant word, absolutely true it's our authority for life, say Amen. If you believe and want your pastor to preach this book, say Amen. I want to thank you for wanting me to preach on money this morning because I needed that encouragement. I really needed for you to want me to do this and so now that you want me to do it I'm going to go ahead with it. I got some good news and bad news. Good news is Ky has brought two incredible, wonderful messages on giving the last two weeks. Bad news is our gifts have been lower the last two weeks than they have in two years so something is not just right. So it could be that some of you in getting so excited about IMAGINE and that two and half million dollars that we have to pay, shifted your money over from the budget to that. Let me tell you what happens if you do that. In a couple of years, you know we'll be shut down and we'll have buildings paid for but nobody in them. We'll be out of business. So it won't work to do it that way. Remember you continue to give your regular tithes and offerings and then above that give to IMAGINE and as we begin this year we have a lot of exciting things that I believe God wants us to do but it takes that consistent giving. There are over two thousand verses in the Bible that deal with money and possessions. In fact Jesus said more about money and possessions than he did about heaven or hell or judgment. Now I don't know about you but that speaks a powerful message. Think about it you know him important heaven and hell and salvation and judgment and yet Jesus had more to say about money. One out of every ten verses in the Gospels deals with money or possessions in some way. And in the gospels we have more about money and possessions than prayer, more abou ...
