Living in Unity (6 of 11)
JOY FOR THE JOURNEY

Philippians 2.1-4
April 1, 2007

Again .. let me remind you about this Friday night .. Good Friday! At 7:00 p.m. we will be gathering here for a time of worship led by our choir and orchestra as we "glory in the cross."
Don't let this Good Friday come and go without inviting or bringing somebody with you. What a great opportunity for reaching out to somebody who needs a touch from God upon their life. And many will come if we invite them.
And then Easter Sunday we'll gather here together to celebrate our risen savior! I'll be preaching the 9:30 a.m. hour and Kelly Talamo will be preaching the 11:00 a.m. hour. And throughout the morning .. we'll be offering free family portraits in addition to open house of the new multi-purpose building.
It's going to be a wonderful weekend of Exalting the Savior, Equipping the Saints and Evangelizing the Sinner. And I hope that you will plan to be a part of it!
Let me also encourage you to fulfill your 3 year pledge to JIF. You say, "Pastor, I am a relatively new member and I never made a pledge to Journey in Faith." And you are correct. You will be receiving an invitation from me for dinner on Saturday, April 21st for me to explain our ministry plan and to talk about our Journey in Faith Kingdom project.
That evening, I'm going to ask you to prayerfully consider making a 20 month pledge to Journey in Faith that will get us to the end of 2008 .. which is our goal time for getting out of debt. Let me remind you that our goal is to be debt free by the end of 08 so that we can move forward with Phase II of Journey in Faith. And those of you who have joined our fellowship in the last three years will play an important role in making that goal a reality.
What an exciting time to be a part of RSBC! Now we're continuing our study of the book of JOY. And of course, I'm talking about the book of Philippians.
