Ephesians 5:15-18

Last week, we were looking at one of the most important things that has to happen in our lives in order to live a real honest to goodness, spirit filled life.
It all dealt with our will...not those things we're supposed to have to give last instructions after our deaths, but I'm talking about our wills...the things that steer our lives...the good thing that God gave us, but which also cause a real struggle...the struggle being, who is going to be in the driver's seat? Who's going to pilot our lives? ME or God? Am I going to let Jesus, or am I going to continually wrestle with Jesus to try to take back the control that I once gave Him back when I was saves?
So the first thing we're going to have to deal with in order to have the spirit filled life, is the Submission to Jesus issue...the big S-word...submit. If we want to have the power of the spirit at work in us, then we've got to YIELD to JESUS.
Now, this morning, I want us to look at some of the other things that cause us to slip and that Hinder us in living a Spirit filled life.
Now, what I'm going to say is really very, very important,
so please pay close attention...ok?
Ephesians 5:15-18 (NIV)

Paul says, ‘be very careful'...
Live as ‘wise' people...
‘understand what the Lord's Will is'...
That means, you see, that if we UNDERSTAND or KNOW,
we'll be less prone to slip, and we know what to look out for or recognize trouble signs of the things that will hinder us having the power of the spirit at work,
This then means,
we'll be better prepared to see those ...
