Doubt-Free Living

Ephesians 1.13-14
February 12, 2006

Last Sunday from the book of 1st John .. we discovered the birthmarks of the believer. Better than being saved is being saved and knowing that you're saved. But even better than being saved and knowing that you're saved .. is being saved and knowing that you're saved and knowing that you can never ever lose your salvation.
Now somebody says, "You must be talking about that Baptist Doctrine of the Security of the Believer." No .. I'm talking about that Bible Doctrine of the Security of the Believer. You say, "If I believed that a person could be saved and never be lost again then I would sin as much as I wanted knowing I could never be lost again."
And your exactly right. In fact .. I sin as much as I want too. I just don't want too! A saved person acts differently than a lost person. A saved person has a different moral appetite than a lost person.
You see .. just as the Bible teaches the security of the believer .. it also teaches this matter of perseverance. Jesus said in Matthew 10.22, "He that endures to the end will be saved."
Now .. you're not saved because you endure to the end .. you endure to the end because you're saved!
Perseverance is proof of your salvation. And those who quit before they finish the race need to be saved. You cannot make a genuine decision for Jesus Christ and live like the Devil!
Now take your Bible and join me in Ephesians 1. I want to show you how you can live a doubt-free life. I want you to see two Bible verses that I pray God will set you free of your nagging doubts! And for you to walk out of here with a Know-So salvation rather than a Hope-So salvation.
