5 Week Series Titles:
Part I. For Salvation
Part II. For Relationship
Part III. For Healing
Part IV. For Compassion
Part V. For Purpose
Introduction:
In our search for God we find several basic needs we want to have met when we find Him. The first one is for Him to guarantee that we will not go to hell...or in other words, salvation. Once we have the security about our own salvation and eternal destiny we start looking for something more personal which only comes through a close relationship with Him. Once we get to know His power and love for us we begin to depend on it more closely and we begin to ask for healing in our lives in areas where life has beat us down. God in His mercy begins to work in those areas and to bring healing even in places we had forgotten about. We begin to move forward and we find that we need a compassionate and merciful God to be patient with us as we take our first steps towards righteousness and living how we should. God ultimately wants the best for us and as we grow with Him we become compassionate people ourselves. Finally, we ask the question.... "God, what is my purpose in life?" It is that question that we should arrive at when we end this series.
