Introduction:
I. The Grace of God, ungodliness of Man (Genesis 6:5-8)
a. Continual Evil in their hearts – It was a never ending circle of bad deeds and thoughts.
b. A Sorrowful God – He was "anthropopathic", (The Lord has human emotions) he desired so much from humanity and was deeply disappointed.
c. A Complete God – He would destroy all things? Because he had given them to man to watch over. If man wasn't around there is no need for animals that cannot be taken care of. Man and animals were intended to live together.
II. The Holiness of One Man (Genesis 6:8-14)
a. Noah was found to have "genuine righteousness" was holy
b. Noah walked with God – contributed to his holiness
c. Noah listened to God – contributed to his holiness
d. Noah obeyed God – result of his holiness (6:22)(7:5)
III. Kingdom Building in the Midst of an Ungodly Nation
a. Noah upon leaving the ark immediately BUILDS an altar and sacrifices al ...
