John 3:1-18

Now join me this morning in John's gospel the third chapter. As you are turning there .. let me express my gratitude to our choir and orchestra who sang and played with an anointing of God during our Easter Weekend Celebration. And I also want to express my gratitude to you who made a special effort to either invite or bring somebody with you to be a part of our Easter Weekend Celebration.

This past weekend we saw what happens when we invite and bring people with us to worship! We saw that many of them will come if we invite and bring them. We had just under 5000 people here for our Easter Weekend Celebration beginning with our Good Friday Service.

During our Good Friday Service .. we had 1800 + 59 = 1859 in attendance! And then on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. we had 1187 + 57 in ES = 1244 in attendance. And during the 11:00 a.m. worship, we had 1569 + 118 = 1687 in attendance. According to Pastor Odilion, we also had 70 Brazilians according to Pastor Jose, we had 33 Hispanics in our Hispanic Fellowship. That means we had around roughly 4893 a part of our Easter Weekend Celebration. Praise the Lord! If we bring them .. they will come!

We also saw that many of them will come to know the Lord Jesus as their savior. Throughout the weekend .. we saw 41 public decisions for Christ of which, 17 of them were baptized during the 11:00 a.m. worship hour.

We saw 5 people pray to invite the Lord Jesus into their life during the Good Friday Service. Then on Sunday morning .. we saw 19 public decisions for Christ and another 17 people baptized during the 11:00 a.m. worship gathering. That makes 41 public decisions for Christ. To God be the glory, great things He has done!

And I am so glad that He lets us in on it! Aren't you? That's what church is all about! Church is a sign pointing people to Jesus. And the day we stop pointing people to Jesus is the day we board up the buildings.

Now to help us in pointing people ...
