Hebrews 10:35-36
Introduction:
There is nothing that can replace a confident trust. It comes from knowledge and experience. It is that you know in your knower, what the outcome will be. You been there before, you've done it before.
When you fall and make a mistake, you have to get back up and do it right so that the lasting memory is not one of defeat that brings about fear, but rather the mistake is replaced by confidence.
If you are going to experience the blessing of God, you have got to have confident expectation in Him.
God's Blessings are established in Confidence!
Heb 10:35-36 NLT
35 Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you! 36 Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
Intimidation and fear are the destroyers of confidence. It is the tactic of the enemy of our souls! He is as a roaring lion.
1 Pet 5:8-9
8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith...(NIV)
Notice Peter says resist him, standing firm in the faith....
In other words don't let his intimidation weaken you.
He weakens through intimidation.
He brings guilt, - He reminds you or all your failures
fear, - He brings up all your insecurities
doubt, - He tempts you into believing that God won't do what you need.
and even despair into your life.- He makes you feel that things are hopeless.
That is why that verse is in the Bible in Heb 4:16 NLT
16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.
The enemy's tactics have not changed from days of old! Confidence is essential in spiritual warfare and blessings in your life.
